Pearl Orthopedic Footwear is a locally owned and operated company founded by Richard Perelmut in 1993. Richard is a certified pedorthist, and he brings 35 years of training and experience to Pearl Orthopedic Footwear. We specialize in diabetic footwear, hard-to-fit sizes, shoe modifications, and custom orthopedic shoes.

Our company is located in Syracuse, NY, and we serve all of Central New York. We pride ourselves on giving our customers the personal attention they, and their feet, deserve. What is a Pedorthist?

A pedorthist is a trained medical professional who works closely with your physician to provide you with medically related specialty footwear services. Your physician gives you a prescription for footwear services. Thereafter, our pedorthist designs and fits the therapeutic footwear specifically for you.
